Shannonville Grandstand Parking Sold Out

June 30 - The BSRKC Series Principals and Organizers together with its sponsors A to Z Capital Corp., DFR DeFrancesco Racing and Andy DeFrancesco, wish to announce that, effective immediately, the grandstand parking at Shannonville Motorsport Park is completely sold out. The Shannonville pre-registration form, available from the 2009 Schedule page, has been updated to reflect this fact.

Flamboro Schedule and Class Structure Update

June 30 - The Junior TAG and Senior TAG classes have been dropped from the schedule for Race 4 at Flamboro due to inadequate turnouts at Races 2 and 3. With this change, the ICC/Moto class has been moved from Saturday to Sunday to balance out the number of classes racing each day. All documents referenced on the 2009 Schedule page have been updated to reflect these changes.

Bulletin: Change of Spec Fuel Station for Race 4

June 25 - The spec fuel station for 4-cycle classes for BSRKC 2009 Race 4 has been changed.

Practice Schedule for BSRKC Mosport

June 18 - Mosport International Karting has made their facilities available for practice for the entire week leading up to Event 3 of the 2009 BSRKC series. Practice is available at Mosport on Friday June 26 from 8:00am until 8:00pm for the standard $50.00 practice rate. Also, any competitor can practice Monday to Thursday from 10:00am to 5:00pm for $40.00 per day. Please see the schedule section for the practice class rotation.

June 12 - Complete event information is now available on the schedule page for the BSRKC races at Mosport, Flamboro and Shannonville, including accommodations, event schedules, entry forms and pre-tech forms.

BSRKC Race 2 - Overflow Parking

June 2 - All overflow parking of cars and pickup trucks only will be permitted to park on private property at 26309 Park Rd. From Highway 48, this is the last driveway on the right hand side before you arrive at the 3-S Go Karts track. Please note that the by-law department at the Town of Georgina will enforce parking regulations on Park Rd. Vehicles with tires marked by the by-law officers must be moved every three hours, and anyone parking illegally will be ticketed.

Bulletin: Change of Venue for Race 2

May 31 - BSRKC Race 2 has been relocated from Hamilton to 3-S Go Karts in Sutton, ON.

BSRKC Race 2 Venue Change

May 31 - The Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship notifies all series competitors and supporting clubs that the location for round two has been changed to 3-S Go Karts in Sutton, ON. The change in venue was the result of extenuating circumstances and for reasons beyond the control of the BSRKC Steering Committee. For this reason it has been decided to change the venue for this event. While the notice is short, Series Officials worked every possible scenario in close cooperation with Cameron Motorsports representatives to resolve all issues in order to proceed as scheduled. Schedule details will be updated shortly.

BSRKC Ready to Kick Off 2009 Season

May 20 - The Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship Series embarks on their fourth season of competition in Ontario as karters from all over the province take to the 3-S Go Karts track, home to the Simcoe Kart Club.  Event organizers have been working diligently to prepare for an amazing season of competition.  With over 430 registered karters, the fields in all sixteen classes should be tight and very competitive. The Simcoe Kart Club and the Waterloo Regional Kart Club have worked in tandem to make this series competitive, enjoyable and rewarding for all participants.

Bulletin: Clarification of Tires for Rotax Classes

May 20 - To address an inconsistency between the RMC rules published on www.maxchallenge.ca and www.asncanada.com, BSRKC has issued a bulletin to clarify the allowed tires for the Rotax RMC classes. The dry tires for Rotax DD2 are Mojo D3, while the dry tires for Rotax Senior and Rotax Junior are Mojo D2.

May 20 - Please note that IROCK chassis and Cheetah engines are welcome to race in the appropriate TAG classes at all BSRKC events.

Bulletin: Change of Spec Fuel Station for Race 1

May 19 - Due to the unexpected closure of the originally specified fuel station for BSRKC Race 1 at Sutton, the spec fuel station for four cycle classes has been changed to the Petro-Canada in Baldwin, ON, south of Sutton on Highway 48.

Rotax Micro Max and Mini Max Gear and Carburetor Requirements for Race 1

May 16 - BSRKC has announced the gears and carburetor parts that must be used at Race 1 at Sutton:

  • Micro Max: 14 tooth front sprocket, 80 tooth rear sprocket, 130 main jet, 3.6 floats w/ 60-60-60
  • Mini Max: 13 tooth front sprocket.

BSRKC Adds Two Florida Winter Tour Prizes

May 13 - The Principals, Organizers and Volunteers of the BSRKC Series are pleased to announce the addition of two Florida Winter Tour prizes to the list of 2009 awards. Bill Wright, owner of Formula Kart Productions Inc., has offered the following to the BSRKC Rotax Junior and Rotax Senior Rotax Max Challenge Class Champions. Formula Kart Productions Inc. will provide the entry fees for the January 2010 round of the Formula Kart Productions Florida Winter Tour Rotax Max Challenge event weekend.

Simcoe Kart Club Prepares to Host BSRKC Race 1

May 11 - 3-S Go Karts in Sutton is well on its way to making preparations to welcome karters to BSRKC Race #1, presented by CF Group & Cole Cacciavillani, and Quinlan Inc. & Todd Quinlan and hosted by the Simcoe Kart Club on May 22, 23 and 24.

3-S Go Karts will be open every day for practice leading up to the BSRKC’s first event of 2009. Two-cycle practice is from 9:30am to 6:00pm., and four-cycle practice is from 9:00am to 9:00pm. The fee for practice is $50.00. This fee is waived for 3-S Go Karts annual track members.

RMC 2009 Technical Regulations Revised

April 16 - The RMC 2009 Technical Regulations have been revised. The new document is at the same URL as the old document. If you have already downloaded or printed the document, check the version on the first page. The new document shows Version 2009.04.14. Changes are in sections 3 (Kart), 4 (Tires), 9.1 (5.8) Exhaust port timing (Max), and 9.1 (5.8) Exhaust port timing (DD2). BSRKC Renewed as Canadian RMC Qualifier

March 11 - The principals, organizers and sponsors of the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship Series are pleased to announce that the BSRKC series has again been granted qualifier status for the Canadian Rotax Max Challenge. Competitors in the 2009 BSRKC series can qualify for the Nationals by racing in at least three of the BSRKC events that are held prior to the Nationals.

BSRKC $74,340 Banquet Grand Finale

February 3 - The Principals and Organizers of the BSRKC Series, together with the Simcoe Kart Club and the Waterloo Regional Kart Club, are extremely proud to have brought the 2008 season to such a successful close. We especially hope that all 213 guests that attended the gala last Saturday, Jan. 31 at La Vita Banquet Halls, once again came away truly satisfied with the manner in which the Series conducted itself. In order to appreciate the success of the 2008 BSRKC Banquet and Awards Gala one has to understand the financials attached to organizing such a Grand Finale on your behalf.

BSRKC Announces 2009 Classes and Schedule, Opens Number Registration, and Sets 2010 Direction

October 27 - As a part of its ongoing focus on putting the needs of the racers first, the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship Series is pleased to announce its 2009 class structure. Number registration for 2009 is also now available, as well as the tentative 2009 BSRKC schedule. In addition, BSRKC has provided a statement of direction regarding its 2010 class structure. By taking these steps at this early date, BSRKC is able to provide karters with plenty of time to prepare for the 2009 season and beyond.

Glaze Wins BSRKC Shootout For Stewart’s IRL Firestone Indy Lights Test

September 29 - On Sunday, September 28, 2008, 3-S Go Karts in Sutton played host to seven outstanding BSRKC Senior Class Champions and top contenders vying for the Series' grand prize. Up for grabs was the opportunity to test in a Brian Stewart Racing IRL Firestone Indy Lights race car. Five of the seven drivers were within 2 tenths of a second on their combined times. As the sessions came to a close however, Michael Glaze was able to knock another tenth off his times making him the fastest karter on the track.

BSRKC Drivers Chosen for Stewart IRL Indy Lights Test Shootout

September 23 - At 3:00 pm this Sunday, September 28, 2008, 3-S Go Karts in Sutton will host the karting shoot out for the BSRKC IRL Indy Lights test with Brian Stewart Racing. Seven very deserving BSRKC karters will test in both a Rotax TAG and a ICC shifter kart to demonstrate their racing skills and speeds in front of Mr. Stewart and the testing committee.

August 8 - The BSRKC Principals and Organizers have already booked the Shannonville Motorsport Park track for the 2009 special Bear Hunt races from Wednesday, July 29 to Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009. We will be setting more records next year!
